Thomas "Tom" Neuwirth (born 6 November 1988), better known by his drag stage persona Conchita Wurst, is an Austrian recording artist and drag queen. Wurst came to international attention for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as Austria's entrant with the song "Rise Like A Phoenix". Openly gay, Neuwirth uses masculine pronouns when referring to himself but feminine pronouns to describe Wurst.

Wurst has competed in the International Music Festival six times: In the thirteenth edition with "Unbreakable", in edition fifteen with "Rise Like A Phoenix", in edition twenty with "Heroes", five editions later with "You Are Unstoppable" and the edition after with "Somebody To Love". She returned again one edition later for the twenty seventh edition as part of The Esc Vienna All Stars with the song "Building Bridges". While "Unbreakable" placed low, both "Rise Like A Phoenix" and "Heroes" won the competition. Wurst also won the semi-finals in those editions.
